This Week in Class D- Fri 12th July
This week, we have continued to practise division with remainders in Maths. We have all found it quite tricky but most children are now more confident! We planned, wrote and edited our story openings in English. These are now up on our writing wall at the back of the classroom. This will be our final English unit. Our Science experiments with plants have now concluded and some of our Roman gods and goddesses are finished.
Many thanks to all those parents who sent in fruit donations for the Summer Fayre. We sold lots of fruit kebabs on our stall.
Next week, we shall complete our Maths unit on multiplication and division. In Science, we shall be learning about pollination. As our English unit is finished, we shall use this time to complete our topic learning. This will be all about the Roman baths!
Supporting your child’s learning:
• Continue to read with your child over the Summer holiday
• www.topmarks.co.uk/mathsgames- play a game together
• Talk to your child about the Celts and Romans. Can s/he tell you what s/he has learnt?
• If you have chance over the Summer, visit the Roman baths in Bath.
Friday 19th July: transition morning- children visit their new class and teacher.
Monday 22nd July: Awards Assembly.
Tuesday 23rd July: Leavers’ Assembly
Wednesday 24th July: End of Term- finish at 1.15pm
Have a wonderful Summer holiday!
